The one-day gathering brought together staff from the Institute's Accra, Tamale, Takoradi, and Kumasi centres to reflect on past performance, align on strategic priorities, and renew a collective commitment to quality service delivery.

Following introductions from staff across the various zones- who joined on online (zoom) and the Kumasi campus, the Director, Prof. Anthony Andrews, delivered an opening address framing the purpose of the workshop: to share ideas, review the achievements of the preceding year, and recommit staff to the Institute's shared mission.

Three strategic keywords were set out to guide institutional direction for 2026; Quality, Flexible, and Seamless(QFS) education. He noted that "The purpose of this workshop is to share ideas, review last year's activities, and recommit ourselves to our shared division."

Deliberations during the strategic session centered on sustaining quality in education delivery while building greater flexibility into administrative and academic processes.

Staff participated actively, sharing perspectives on improving service delivery and enriching the student learning experience.

Management underscored professionalism, punctuality, and dedication as fundamental pillars of institutional growth, with particular emphasis placed on the need for proactive rather than reactive engagement with students.

Discussions on communication highlighted the need for improved information channels to ensure timely and accurate flow of updates across departments and centres.

The role of structured staff performance appraisal systems in driving accountability and productivity was also emphasised, with management agreeing to strengthen communication pathways so that staff remain informed on key decisions and matters affecting students and the Institute.

On staff well-being, participants were encouraged to embrace healthier lifestyles and take part in wellness activities. The Institute reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing fruits and fitness physical activity initiative, and reminded staff of the importance of regular blood pressure monitoring.

An open interactive forum allowed staff to raise questions, seek clarifications, and table suggestions — fostering inclusive dialogue and deepening mutual understanding between management and staff across all levels.

The gathering served as a valuable platform for reflection, alignment, and forward planning, strengthening institutional cohesion, clarifying priorities for the 2026 academic year, and reinforcing the Institute's enduring commitment to quality, flexible, and seamless education.

Staff were encouraged to make deliberate choices that promote the Institute's standing and advance its mission.
